今日は...

This is me. I don't remember exactly when this photo was taken. I also can't recall whose glasses I was wearing (they probably belonged to my Dad). I was trying to look all 'grown up' and 'serious' in this photo, you know, an appearance that would inspire confidence and command respect like a brain surgeon or rocket scientist. I guess this photo is indeed one of a kind, as I rarely look so uptight.

As much as I'd like to sleep in and do nothing all day, I don't plan to take today off. Many months ago, a conference has already been scheduled. Unless I want to make an excruciatingly career-limiting move, I'd better haul my lazy ass there 8:30 sharp. Awake and ready. The upshot is that breakfast and lunch will be served. And yes, I can be that easily satisfied. Or bought, so to speak.

We are supposed to make some plans this weekend. What plan? Absolutely no clue. Even if we end up doing nothing (which is easy), I am just as pleased. Hope you have a nice weekend!
